Real World Background
Sruighlea is the Scottish Gaelic name for the city of Stirling, Scotland, which survives to the modern day. Northwest of Edinburgh, the city is prominent throughout Scottish history, particularly during the Scottish War of Independence when Andrew Moray and William Wallace defeated the English at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297, and when Robert the Bruce and his allies won at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314.
