Rockefeller Center is a business and entertainment center built by John D. Rockefeller Jr., covering twenty-two acres and composed of nineteen buildings, including the Rockefeller Plaza and the Radio City Music Hall.
History
In 1995, the Summer Garden Restaurant was the site where Goliath and the Manhattan Clan confronted and foiled Demona and Puck after they were transformed into humans (and Elisa as a gargoyle) with Titania's Mirror. ("The Mirror")
Real World Background
Construction of Rockefeller Center first began in 1931 and continued through 1939, with additional buildings and renovations in the decades that followed.
A noteworthy landmark here is an 18-foot tall bronze statue of Prometheus, sculpted by Paul Manship in 1934. It overlooks the Plaza's skating rink and Summer Garden Restaurant.
