The Royal Suite is the living quarters of the master of the castle. Prince Malcolm and Princess Katharine both had their quarters here. In modern times, David Xanatos and Fox keep their master bedroom here. Alexander Fox Xanatos's nursery is also located here.
History
The tower was constructed with the castle, beginning in 971. By the time it was completed, it was the highest point in all of Wyvern. Presumably, Mentor would sleep at the top of the tower. By 984, when Mentor stepped down and Goliath was promoted to leader of the Wyvern Clan, he began sleeping atop the tower.
When Hakon and his band of Vikings attacked Castle Wyvern in 994, the Viking leader scaled the tower assuming the sleeping gargoyle was just a statue. But when the sun set, Hakon came face-to-face with the gargoyle leader. The following evening, unbeknownst to Goliath, he had his final conversation with Angel and "Othello" before he and Mentor took off after the Vikings. Following the Wyvern Massacre, and the Magus casting the Sleep Spell on Mentor, Charlemagne, Alexander, Caesar, Goliath placed them along the tower walls before requesting the spell be cast upon him as well. ("Awakening Part One", "Reawakening", "Awakening Part Two")
When David Xanatos arrived at Castle Wyvern for the first time, the first thing he did was scale the tower to pull moss off of the sleeping form of Goliath. After rebuilding the castle atop the Eyrie Building, Xanatos stood on the tower and waited for Goliath to awaken. He was not disappointed. Following this, Goliath spent most of his days sleeping atop the tower until they departed the castle. For a brief period, Thailog also made the tower his roost before his... "departure". After the Manhattan Clan returned to the castle in 1996, Goliath resumed sleeping atop the tower and it was here that Elisa Maza first kissed him. ("Awakening Part Two", "Enter Macbeth", "Double Jeopardy", "Hunter's Moon Part Three")
Elisa temporarily broke up with Goliath atop the tower but a few nights later, the two confirmed their love for one another ("Invitation Only", "The Rock")
Characteristics
In the modern day, the suite is located on the north side of the castle and likely provides a beautiful view of Central Park.
