Description
WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS...
Goliath and his band of Gargoyles have a very busy night! A police siren brings the Gargoyles to the city streets only find Broadway under the wheels of a police car. Brooklyn glides to his friend's rescue with the perfect cure!
Summary
The story starts with Goliath and most of the Manhattan Clan awakening from their Stone Sleep. Goliath then suddenly hears a police siren and a woman's scream. Recognizing that it was Elisa Maza who was screaming, Goliath, Brooklyn, Lexington, and Hudson quickly glide off to help the detective. Bronx evidently finds his way to the commotion as well.
They all soon find Broadway on the ground, moaning in pain. Evidently while on patrol, Elisa had nearly hit the gargoyle with her squad car! After checking to see if Broadway was hurt, Brooklyn – figuring the best way to make Broadway better is a classic New York hot dog – decides to steal an entire hot dog cart nearby for his rookery brother.
Having grown tired of the incident, Goliath leads the Manhattan Clan back home.
Discontinuity
No reason is given why Elisa was driving around in a generic police squad car instead of her own vehicle.
