Goliath is a male gargoyle and leader of the Manhattan Clan, and as such he is also the first lead of the entire series. He was voiced by Keith David in the animated series.
Goliath is a powerful and ferocious warrior, often short on temper, but he is also intelligent, highly literate and has a strong moral center. It was at Goliath's urging that his clan chose to dedicate themselves to protecting Manhattan Island and its human inhabitants, and he has also dedicated his own life to bringing about peaceful coexistence between humans and gargoyles.
Because of his importance to the Gargoyles Universe, many stories heavily involve his relationships with other characters. In particular, his romantic relationship with the human Elisa Maza, with its Beauty and the Beast overtones, remains one of the most popular aspects of the series. (more...)

GargWiki is a reference guide to all things Gargoyles, both in-universe information (characters, places and things) as well as Category:Out-of-universe information (including cast members and episodes).
GargWiki focuses on information from the first two seasons of the animated series Gargoyles, the current comic book series and its spin-offs. This information can be found in Category:Canon.
Over the past decade, Greg Weisman has revealed many secrets and plans he had for the Gargoyles Universe, including spin-offs and new characters. Entries on these revelations are located in Category:Canon-in-training.
