Michael Reaves (1950 - 2023) is an American science fiction and fantasy author, television writer, and screenwriter.
His credits include Gargoyles, Batman the Animated Series, Dungeons & Dragons, Invasion America, Star Trek the Next Generation and countless other projects.
In addition to being a story editor for Gargoyles, he also came up with the name for Elisa Maza's cat Cagney, the character Matt Bluestone and Anton Sevarius's last name.[1][2][3][4]
He appeared in the behind the scenes featurette of the VHS Gargoyles The Movie: The Heroes Awaken and on the second season DVD.
Michael Reaves passed away after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease on March 20th, 2023. Greg Weisman dedicated the seventh issue of the Dynamite Entertainment run to his memory.
