Dragon is a term used to cover a variety of large beasts and beings that fly and breath fire.
History
In the caverns of Wyvern Hill resided a live dragon that guarded a large treasure. The Trio, Antiope, and Alesand woke the colossal creature in 971. ("The Dream")
Presumably, this is the dragon that is the subject of an oath ("By the Dragon,...") used by "Iago", Angel, and Hudson. ("Possession", "Tyrants", "Render Unto Caesar", "The Dream")
When the Commandos depart from Castle Wyvern, Hudson thinks at first that their helicopter is a dragon, before Lexington identifies it to be a machine. Even years later, he still thinks of helicopters as "modern day dragons". ("Awakening: Part Two", "The Reach")
A magically animated stone statue was also encountered by (and destroyed by) King Arthur, Griff, and Macbeth in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. The sword Excalibur was hidden inside the statue. ("Pendragon") [2]
Biology
Capable of Stone Sleep, dragons are considered closely related to gargoyles and gargoyle beasts. ("The Dream")
