Gathering of the Gargoyles
- For other uses of the name, see The Gathering.
The Gathering of the Gargoyles was an annual convention run by fans, for fans.
The first Gathering was hosted by Mae Li, in 1997, at the Mayflower Hotel in New York City. [1] From there, the Gathering grew and traveled around North America before coming to an end in 2009. The Gathering of the Gargoyles was run by The Gathering of the Gargoyles, Inc under its president, Jennifer L. Anderson.
In 2004, events of the Gathering were filmed and included on the Gargoyles: The Complete First Season DVD release.
In 2024, Greg Weisman paid tribute to the convention, and the fandom itself, by adding the Gathering of the Gargoyles Guild to the canonical Gargoyles Universe. ("Questions")

Annual Gathering Events
The Rocky Horror Gargoyles Show
Since the early days of the convention, Greg Weisman would explain the development of the series, showcasing the original pitch (found on the season one DVD), as well as a Jim Cummings version of the pitch, a promo video for the series set to the music of Hans Zimmer's "Power of One", a presentation piece narrated by Jonathan Frakes (found on the 1995 Gargoyles The Movie: The Heroes Awaken release), and the Bad Guys Leica Reel. In 1998, Weisman introduced to the the pitch art for The New Olympians spin-off and, the following year, the pitch art for Gargoyles: The Dark Ages. [5] The pitch art for both spin-offs would be recorded in 1999 at the Dallas Gathering and shown on video in the years to follow. [6] In 2002, the voice tape for "The Last" was introduced. An animatic would be worked on by fans volunteering their efforts in the years to follow and was nearly finished by 2009. [7] The "same old schpiel" would continue at CONvergence. [8]
