Angela, like the other Wyvern rookery eggs, was brought to Avalon by Princess Katharine, the Magus, and the Guardian while still in the shell, in 995. ===Unprepared for Battle===

 +
But that peace came to an end in 1995 when the Archmage attacked them, allied with the Weird Sisters, and with his enslaved soldiers: Demona and Macbeth. Unprepared for battle, and never having any need to hone their combat skills, the Avalon gargoyles were no match for their attackers. Many of them were severely injured with the only reprieve they were given when the Archmage called off his allies and soldiers in order to give the residents of Avalon time to make their peace - before he returned at sunrise to destroy them all. The Guardian quickly departed Avalon to find help and returned with Goliath, Bronx, and Elisa Maza and were greeted on Avalon's beach by Angela, Gabriel, and [[Boudicca]. Goliath was initially surprised that they had been given names, and Angela was immediately in awe of him. As they prepared to head to Oberon's Palace, the Archmage appeared having materialized from the very sand of the beach itself for a skirmish. But that's all it was, a skirmish. The Archmage, feeling he made his point, departed while the gargoyles retreated back to the palace. They soon arrived and were greeted by more members of the Avalon Clan, and entered the Great Hall where many gargoyles were being treated for their wounds, which mostly consisted of laser burns. The Magus exposited that the Archmage commanded their attackers, carrying both the Eye of Odin and the Phoenix Gate (and pondered if he had the Grimorum Arcanorum as well). But time was short, they needed to defeat the Archmage before sunrise or else it would all be over. Goliath led Angela (who had eagerly volunteered to be his guide) and Gabriel on a mission to retrieve the Eye of Odin and the Phoenix Gate while advising Elisa to come up with a contingency plan in case they failed. Their mission did fail, as they were accosted by a mind-controlled Demona and Macbeth. While Goliath succeeded in briefly breaking the Archmage's hold over them, the sorcerer reasserted control. Angela personally attempted to rip the Eye of Odin from the Archmage's brow, but the energy fed back on her knocking her away, forcing her and the rest to retreat and leaving the Archmage determined to attack them now rather than wait until dawn. Goliath, Angela, Gabriel, Bronx, and Boudicca returned to the palace in time for Elisa and the Magus to return with the awakened Sleeping King, whom Elisa introduced as the greatest warrior who ever lived: King Arthur Pendragon. Goliath deferred leadership to the King, who devised a strategy to defeat Demona and Macbeth while Goliath volunteered to attack the Archmage personally, but Angela wouldn't let Goliath face the Archmage without her. She saved Goliath's life as the sorcerer was magically torturing the gargoyle which gave Goliath the opening he needed to tackle the Archmage and rip the Eye of Odin from his brow - the Archmage was then consumed by the power of the Grimorum.

Goliath and Angela were summoned to the Hollow Hill where the Magus spent all that was left of him to defeat the Weird Sisters. As he lay dying, Goliath thanked the Magus for saving his children... telling the sorcerer that he owed him a great debt. Angela could only watch and grieve as one of her beloved fathers died. Before sunrise, Gabriel invited Goliath to bring his clan to Avalon, but Goliath was determined to keep working towards a world where gargoyles and humans learned to live together again. Angela, wishing to see the world and find her place in it, requested to leave Avalon and go with Goliath into the world, and Goliath whole-heartedly welcomed her while warning her it was a dangerous path. They all said their good-byes as she boarded the Skiff with Elisa, Goliath, and Bronx. But they quickly learned that Avalon didn't take them where they wanted to go, it sent them where they needed to be. ("Avalon" Part Three)

 +
The Guardian's words quickly proved themselves true as Avalon did not return them to Manhattan, but Goliath quickly recognized his ancestral home of Wyvern Hill, and was eager for Angela to see the site of their clan's ancestral home. Feeling nostalgic, he scaled the cliffside, uncharacteristically leaving Angela to carry Elisa up. He showed his companions around, including where the rookery had once been - in awe, Angela figured that it must have once been beautiful. As a storm blew through, they took shelter in Wyvern's Cave - where the Vikings camped the night they shattered his clan, where the Archmage was thought to have made his final stand. Goliath grew bitter and angry as old wounds resurfaced and mysterious forces began exploiting them. Angela grew concerned, unfamiliar with this kind of bitterness, and was shocked when Goliath lied to them about what he was seeing and hearing, as she was unfamiliar with the need to lie where she came from. Being driven to madness, Goliath attacked Angela and Elisa before retreating into the cave. Elisa, Angela, and Bronx followed determined to help him and Angela cried out when Goliath fell into the chasm, unsure of what to do until Elisa suggested they climb down after him. They caught up with Goliath in time to witness the Megalith Dance collapsing all around them and Angela asked about the two men she saw within, Goliath identified the Captain as "a friend", making peace with the man. The Captain appeared once more before ascending into the next plain. As they left the cave, Goliath told them about all that had happened, and Angela could only ask about what ever fate Hakon had made for himself. ("Shadows of the Past")

Avalon's magic next sent the travelers to Queen Florence Island off the west coast of Canada where they did battle on the open sea with a Sea Monster. During the battle, Elisa was lost and Goliath feared the worst. He, Angela, and Bronx washed up on shore and turned to stone in front of a Totem Pole. They awoke that night to be greeted by a mysterious, raven-headed gargoyle who told them of his clan, how many were killed by humans while they slept, and that there was an evil sorceress on the island named Grandmother who summoned the sea monster. Goliath followed the gargoyle to the volcano and was thrilled to see other gargoyles, but Angela was skeptical of their new acquaintance and his story. As they searched the island and Angela asked why humans would continue to mistreat gargoyles if they knew how valiant they were, but Goliath explained to her that what humans didn't understand, they feared; and what they feared, they often sought to destroy. They soon came upon Elisa and told her about the other gargoyles they met, but Elisa had just been told by Grandmother that there were no gargoyles on this island; however Goliath angrily accused Grandmother of sorcery. Elisa attempted to make introductions when Grandmother transformed into the Thunderbird. Goliath engaged the beast in battle as the raven-headed gargoyle brought his clan; but Angela noticed that the new gargoyles were illusions, and lied to Raven's face when he suggested accompanying them on their search. When they all confronted Grandmother, she explained that she was hoping Natsilane would see a creature of legend, and that the illusions were created by the trickster, Raven. Raven appeared and revealed himself to not be a gargoyle at all, but a Child of Oberon (as was Grandmother). Elisa introduced the gargoyles to Natsilane who, while still reluctant to believe in the legends, even as Angela insisted he do so. Nevertheless he faced Raven and defeated him in battle. The gargoyles and Elisa departed as life returned to the island. ("Heritage")

Avalon next dropped them in a very murky lake that clearly wasn't Manhattan. Something large and metal passed under the Skiff and the travelers made their way to shore to get a better vantage point, but finding nothing they decided to return to Avalon and try again to find Manhattan. However, Elisa spotted a town nearby and ventured in to attempt to contact Matt Bluestone and get a message to her parents, Captain Chavez, and the clan. While there, she discovered they were in Loch Ness. Boarding the skiff again, Elisa hypothesized that what they saw earlier was a show put on for tourists. But the skiff got rammed again and capsized. Goliath, Elisa, and Bronx surfaced, but Angela was taken by the Loch Ness Monster Submarine which was piloted by Xanatos's commandos currently answering to Dr. Sevarius who was surprised to see Angela and extracted a DNA sample from the young gargoyle before placing her in the Grotto with Nessie. While scared at first, Angela quickly befriended the Loch Ness Monster, feeding her and keeping her company. That night, Angela woke up in chains as Sevarius revealed to her that Goliath was her biological father. Angela was stunned at this revelation and disgusted when Sevarius explained his plan to release Nessie back into the loch and track her so they could re-capture her and capture her mate, Big Daddy, calling the geneticist the only monster there. Goliath and his companions arrived only to be captured as Angela was taken on board the submarine and later used as bait to lure the two monsters to the sub... literally being thrown into the depths of the lock, chained to the ship, with no oxygen mask like a worm on a hook. She very nearly drowned until Goliath supplied her with an oxygen mask and tore her chains. Angela removed the sonar tag from Nessie's neck and the tazers being used to stun them. Reunited with Goliath, they watched as the family of Loch Ness Monsters was also reunited. ("Monsters")

Their next stop was Prague where the skiff nearly collided with a speedboat. As it zipped by, Goliath caught sight of his friend, Halcyon Renard, on board and resolved to find him in the hopes that Renard could provide them with transportation back to Manhattan. Goliath layer rejoined Angela and Bronx, concerned about Renard's behavior, as they were watching the Altneuschul and Goliath spotted the hovercraft that had belonged to Renard. They quickly took action as thieves were stealing a clay statue from the temple. Goliath failed to stop them, but upon speaking with Max Loew, he learned that the stone statue was the Golem - a protector of the community. Goliath flew off to confront Renard, and left his companions to protect the temple. Renard, taking spiritual possession of the Golem broke in to destroy the books and prevent them from banishing him back to his original body. Angela attacked Renard to defend the temple, but Renard made short work of her until Elisa pointed out that he was enjoying this. Goliath arrived and reminded Renard of his integrity and his ethics. The old man came to his senses and left the Golem, returning to his own body. Max Loew also vowed to take responsibility and embrace his destiny as the Golem's guide and, allying with the gargoyles and Elisa, they defeated the gangster, Tomas Brod. Just before sunrise, Renard offered to transport them all back to New York, but Goliath declined realizing he had his own destiny to face. No longer was their quest one of returning home, but of following finding out why Avalon was sending there where it was and for what purpose, and fulfilling that purpose. They returned to the skiff and truly began their quest. ("Golem")

Angela next awoke in Paris shortly before Elisa returned to the skiff after spending the better part of her day following Macbeth and Demona in her human form. Angela began to ask questions about the rogue gargoyle, and Elisa brought a newspaper headlining the "monster of Notre Dame", so they steered the Skiff towards Notre Dame Cathedral hoping to find her there. Goliath grew increasingly uncomfortable with Angela addressing him as "father", reminding her to look upon the whole clan as her parents. While out of earshot he confided to Elisa that he'd rather keep Angela away from Demona considering her questions about parentage and then assigned Angela to stay with Elisa at the Skiff to protect her from Demona - much to Elisa's chagrin, but she went along with it. As the battle commenced, Angela advised Elisa to stay in the shadows and left to help Goliath and arrived in time to witness Goliath confront Demona and Thailog about their new romance. As she continued to eavesdrop, Angela learned that Goliath and Demona had once been in love and began to think of the even further implications of that revelation. She returned to the skiff before Goliath, clearly feeling heartache about what she had learned. After Goliath returned to the skiff and he explained the situation to Elisa, Angela confronted her biological father over never mentioning that he and Demona were once in love. But Goliath refused to discuss it as the sun rose. During the day, Elisa figured out part of the plot and that Macbeth was the target of Demona and Thailog. She alerted the gargoyles when they awoke and led them to Macbeth's château where they found Thailog who lecherously leered at Angela before he revealed his scheme: marry Macbeth and Demona, manipulate them both into killing each other, and he as Demona's business partner would inherit their combined wealth putting him on equal economic footing with David Xanatos. Angela was shocked, believing that Demona meant something to Thailog. But Goliath was appalled and finally saw Thailog for what he was. Angela and Goliath engaged him in battle. They fought to a stand still, but when Elisa intervened in Demona and Macbeth's battle by temporarily killing Demona, Thailog declared victory and took off. Goliath, Angela, and Bronx entered the château and found Macbeth and Elisa conversing. As Goliath comforted Macbeth, Angela had other things on her mind. She inspected the unconscious Demona as the immortal gargoyle came to. But Thailog soon returned and took Demona into his arms and away from there - reminding them all that love can be blind. Back on the skiff, as they were about to disappear into the mists, Angela asked for confirmation that Demona was her biological mother but Goliath refused to speak of it. Elisa, however, confirmed it. ("Sanctuary")

The Skiff next landed in London where they came upon a memorial erected honoring two gargoyles that had died during the Battle of Britain, one gargoyle unknown to them while Angela observed that the second statue looked just like Goliath. His curiosity piqued, the travelers made their way to Into the Mystic where they defeated a gang of racist street thugs before two gargoyles, Una and Leo, emerged from the shop. While they were unknown to the travelers, Goliath was very known to them and they asked about a friend of theirs named Griff. Goliath denied any knowledge of Griff, but they insisted that Griff was a hero that Goliath led to his demise. Once inside the shop, Angela asked Una when they thought they met Goliath, but Una insisted that she didn't think she met Goliath, she knew she had. The situation escalated to violence until Una used a spell book to put the travelers to sleep. Angela, Elisa, and Bronx would come to chained in the shop's cellar, Una and Leo determined to torment Goliath with never knowing what fate befell them. While Goliath used the Phoenix Gate to travel back to 1940 to learn what fate befell Griff, Una attempted to convince them that Goliath had abandoned them as he had once abandoned Griff. Leo eventually realized that they should have joined them in fighting the Nazis and that it was their own guilt that haunted them. Leo and Una finally released them in time to be reunited with Goliath and Griff, who had been brought forward in time before they departed for the Skiff. ("M.I.A.")

The travelers arrived in Egypt and Goliath quickly identified the Sphinx, and Coyote 3.0 flying towards it. They waited a few moments before following the robot inside and arrived just in time to witness the Emir casting a spell. They were quickly spotted by the Pack and subdued after a battle before being chained to a pillar. The Emir banished the Pack from the chamber and spoke to the summoned Anubis, demanding that Emir return his deceased son to life, but the Jackal God would not. The Emir threatened to cast a spell transforming himself into an Avatar of Anubis and command his powers over live and death himself. Angela and her companions attempted to stop the Emir by ripping their very pillar apart, but he summoned the Pack to take them away. The Pack led Elisa and the gargoyles to a burial chamber intent on finishing them off, but they managed to escape, Angela saying this was their chance to stop the Emir. They returned to the main chamber in time to watch as Jackal stole the energies the Emir planned to take and became the Avatar, himself. Drunk with power, Jackal destroyed Coyote, reduced Wolf and Hyena to infancy, and aged Angela and her companions to a decrepit form. Goliath and Angela managed one last push, buying the Emir time to seize the Scroll of Thoth and remove Anubis from Jackal, becoming the Avatar, himself. Understanding the gravity of the power he now wielded, the Emir destroyed the chamber as Angela and her companions escaped; Angela wondering what happened to the Pack. ("Grief")

Their next stop was Ireland where they were almost immediately detected by the Banshee who attacked them with her song. The unbearable pain caused them to crash into a bog where the Banshee captured them all (save for Bronx) and brought them to Cairn na Chullain. The following evening, she appeared and accused them of being on a mission from Oberon to bring her back to Avalon for the Gathering. Goliath truthfully denied the accusations but to no avail as the Banshee continued to interrogate and torture them with her siren song until the howling of Bronx drew her away... Angela having faith that the Gargoyle Beast would find a way to free them. Bronx teamed up with Rory Dugan (the reincarnation of Cu Chullain) and they defeated the Banshee. Rory thanked them for the loan of Bronx, remembering that he had a "dog" like that once when he was someone special - but Angela told the young man he still was someone special before they departed the land. The skiff next stopped in the Australian Outback where Angela and her companions encountered a mysterious force reshaping the land. Angela also met one of her father's old enemies, Dingo, and engaged him in battle. When the mysterious force, which Dingo would later reveal were nanites, returned; Dingo helped save Angela's life and, feeling grateful, Goliath allowed Dingo the moment to explain himself. Angela believed the mysterious force to be dark magic, but Dingo explained they were nanites - as Dingo further explained what they were, Angela wondered if the nanites could transform them as well. They later encountered Dingo's friend, an old shaman, and when the nanites went out of control, they were joined by Fox and her mother, Anastasia Renard. Anastasia explained the Grey Goo Scenario to them; and that the entire world was at stake unless the Matrix could be stopped. After one failed attempt, the Shaman helped Goliath and Dingo enter the Dreamtime so that they could communicate with the Matrix. Goliath and Dingo both succeeded in talking the Matrix, which had been programmed to create order, towards a different definition of order. Dingo and the Matrix partnered up, with Dingo hoping to become a true hero. Angela was present as Goliath made peace with his former enemy. ("Walkabout")

Goliath's refusal to open up to Angela came to a head as they arrived in Nigeria; Elisa recognized the land as she visited it once with her own mother as a child; to which Angela bitterly remarked that her own father never talks about himself with her - or her mother. Goliath, again, reminded Angela that she was the child of the entire clan. When Elisa encountered her own mother during the Feast of the Panther Queen, Goliath observed that Elisa doesn't like to share her secrets but that she shouldn't keep them from her mother and Angela was quick to call Goliath on his own hypocrisy. When Tea Gora and her poachers arrived, Fara Maku revealed himself as a werepanther and led Tea away into the forest. After capturing the poachers, the travelers finally met Diane Maza. Together they all followed Tea after Fara Maku only to discover the woman was also a werepanther, and soon tracked them down to the ruins of Kara Digi. They split up and Angela accompanied Elisa and Bronx, and Elisa vented about how much her mother smothered her when Angela openly wished Goliath would talk to her like Diane talked to Elisa, and couldn't fathom why Diane wanting that openness was a bad thing... which gave Elisa much to think about. Meanwhile, Angela asked Goliath if Angela was his daughter, to which Goliath confirmed that biologically, she was; but he also explained the Gargoyle Way and that Angela was asking for special treatment and Goliath didn't believe he should value one hatchling over another. But Diane, as a parent of three, explained that all children require special treatment at times and right now, Angela was the only hatchling with him. Goliath pondered this as Angela led the charge that defeated Anansi and, realizing that giving Angela the attention she wanted wasn't showing favoritism against his other rookery children, and despite his worry about the Demona factor to all of this, finally understood that he wasn't being a father of any kind. He praised Angela for her quick thinking and embraced her as his daughter, to her great joy. ("Mark of the Panther")

 +
The Skiff was next pulled towards Norway where they arrived in the ice and snow-covered environment; growing up where it was only summer, Angela was at first stunned by the beauty of this new climate, but ultimately didn't enjoy it. A one-eyed old man emerged from the snow, recognizing the gargoyles for what they were, and offered the freezing Elisa a parka in exchange for Goliath giving him the Eye of Odin; but Elisa wouldn't allow the trade and Goliath refused. The old man vanished promising that Goliath would regret this. As the weather got worse, Goliath and Angela got Elisa to shelter where she was taken in by Erik and Gunther Sturlisson. Goliath and Angela sat with the Eye of Odin for a while, agreeing that its power was too great for anyone to wield before they were viciously attacked by a giant one-eyed polar bear that attempted to steal Goliath's pouch. They drove the bear away, but Goliath observed the bear had only one eye and quickly deduced that it and the old man were one and the same. They hurried to the Sturluson Farm to retrieve Elisa but were too late as the old man abducted her and declared himself to be Odin himself, astride Sleipnir. He demanded the Eye be returned to him or Elisa's life would be forfeit. Angela pointed out that if Goliath gave Odin the Eye, he'd become powerful enough to destroy them, but if he didn't that would mean Elisa's death. Believing he had no choice at this point, Goliath donned the Eye and grew into an armored gargoyle of incredible stature. Odin attempted to flee, but Goliath flew after him and rescued Elisa, promising to be less merciful if Odin threatened any of them again. The sun rose, and when Angela next awoke, she and Bronx were strapped to the roof of Erik Sturluson's jeep where she formally met the two humans and was concerned that Goliath was still wearing the Eye. They drove north and soon arrived at the cave as the storms began to cease. But when Goliath left to find a suitable door, Angela spotted him in the skies and discovered that Goliath, not Odin, was the one creating the storms. He soon returned with a gigantic boulder and faced the anger of his charges. Goliath did not deny creating the storms, justifying his actions as a means to motivate them to the cave for their own protection until he engaged Odin in battle and destroyed the god once and for all. With that, Goliath set the boulder before the entrance of the cave, imprisoning those he swore to protect. As Odin grew weaker through the battle, he used what remained of his power to free the others. Elisa, Angela, and Bronx confronted Goliath to his fury and in his wrath, he withdrew his protection and cast them into a chasm. As the fissure began to close, Elisa and Bronx climbed out - but Angela stayed, gambling with her own life and called for Goliath's help. Realizing that he had become a power mad monster, Goliath pulled Angela from the closing fissure before ripping the Eye from his neck and passing out. Elisa told Angela she took quite the risk by doing this, and wished she'd thought of it. Goliath came to later, his old self again. ("Eye of the Storm")

Their next trip was to New Olympus, an island hidden from the world thanks to a technologically advanced cloaking device. There they discovered the New Olympians, a race descended from the Greek gods and monsters of old - who retreated to the island in response to human persecution. Their security chief, Taurus, took Elisa into custody for trespassing on the island as a human and was quickly put on trial in front of the island's leader, Boreas. Goliath and Angela vouched for Elisa's character, tried to convince the people of New Olympus that she could be trusted with their secret and permitted to leave, but Boreas couldn't take chances with his people's security and decreed that she remain on the island permanently. Angela was livid, openly demanding that Goliath explain why they were putting up with this. Elisa was soon detained once more after a riot broke out due to her presence alone and she was taken to jail. When Goliath again protested her treatment, Boreas tried to be reasonable but agreed with Taurus's actions, leading to further outrage from Angela. Goliath sent Angela and Bronx back to the Skiff to be ready to go as he attempted to break Elisa out. As sun rise was upon them, Angela was confronted by Kiron demanding to know where "the human" was, and Angela sarcastically asked if she was still unjustly imprisoned. When the sun rose, Angela's sleeping form was captured but she awoke to the news that Elisa helped defeat Proteus and saved the entire island. They were all permitted to leave afterwards. Avalon next dropped them off in Guatemala where they were overjoyed to meet two new gargoyles: Zafiro and Obsidiana. They quickly moved to protect them from construction workers who were firing on them and Jackal and Hyena. Zafiro and Obsidiana took them back to their home, the Mayan Pyramid, where they were introduced to Turquesa and Jade, these four gargoyles being the only survivors of a recent massacre. They explained their mission to protect the rainforest around them, which they called "The Green", and revealed their magic pendants which prevented them from turning to stone and that they were connected to a Mayan Sun Amulet which had been stolen. The following evening, Goliath came to agree with their mission to protect the forest and agreed to join them in attacking the construction workers - resulting in a disagreement with Elisa who wouldn't participate without finding out who legally owned the land first because she was still a police officer sworn to uphold the law. Angela also joined Goliath in helping Zafiro and Obsidiana violently protect the forest. They quickly encountered Jackal who was leading them back to the pyramid while buying time for a scheme where Hyena would destroy the Sun Amulet back in New York City (she would be foiled by Lexington and Broadway). The sun rose and Jackal intended to shatter them all, with every intention to carve Goliath's stone head into a sculpture of himself, but he was soon defeated. After the sun set, Angela and the travelers brought Turquesa and Jade to Avalon with them to make sure samples of endangered trees would grow and thrive. ("The Green")

Their next mission from Avalon proved to be an emotionally painful one as they arrived on Easter Island. An exhausted Elisa was sleeping on board the Skiff; Angela and Goliath chose to allow her to sleep and left her to be guarded by Bronx while she and Goliath searched the area, pausing to admire the moai statues. They returned to find Elisa missing and Bronx unconscious, and spread out to search for her. While Goliath was away, Angela and Bronx were captured by the one who caused Elisa's amnesia - Nokkar who had come from beyond this planet. Angela was confused by Nokkar's accusation that they were alien to this world and used a holographic image of Angela to capture Goliath. Now, all of them imprisoned in Nokkar's spacecraft when Goliath came to Angela explained who Nokkar was, and the alien's accusation that the gargoyles were agents of his enemy: the Space-Spawn. Nokkar and Elisa returned, Elisa having come to agree with Nokkar's suspicions. When Nokkar, who was not permitted to take prisoners, attempted to execute the gargoyles, Elisa released them, her instincts telling her the gargoyles were her friends. Goliath battled with Nokkar one-on-one, and the battle ceased as Elisa vouched for them. Goliath and Nokkar spoke, finding common ground as both were protectors, guardians, sentinels. Avalon sent them to Japan next, where they landed in the village of Ishimura and quickly met the clan that resided there. Kai was ecstatic to meet more living gargoyles and brought them to the temple where he revealed their history of teaching Bushido to the local humans. When Angela awoke the following evening, she and her companions, along with the Ishimuran Clan woke up in a replica of the temple where the human, Taro, told them all that he feared for their safety as the Ishimurans began to "view them as a burden". Knowing Elisa would never voluntarily allow she, Goliath, and Bronx to be taken, Angela regarded the human's story with suspicion. Taro then revealed that they were all inside of his Gargoyle Theme Park, and had hoped to introduce the gargoyles to humanity under controlled conditions a few at a time. Having experienced human manipulation from Xanatos, Goliath regarded all of this with unease, as did Angela who was growing more experienced throughout her travels with less savory humans and gargoyles. When Yama revealed that he was a part of this plan, Goliath called him out as a threat to his own clan's safety which resulted in the Ishimuran attacking him. Angela swiftly came to Goliath's defense, furiously fighting Yama. After it was over, Goliath decided it was time to leave and Taro agreed to escort them out only to trap the three visitors and gas them, hoping that three chained up angry gargoyles would make for an exciting attraction. Angela and her companions were soon rescued by Elisa and Hiroshi and when Goliath went to confront Taro, he was subdued by the human's weapons. Feeling betrayed as well, Yama faced Taro and defeated him. After they all returned to Ishimura, the travelers departed on the skiff. ("Bushido")

Avalon next dropped the Skiff off in the swimming pool of Flagstaff University, where Elisa's younger sister attended school. They made their way to her apartment where they turned to stone on the balcony. After sunset, Elisa formally introduced them to her father, Peter, and her sister, Beth Maza and learned that Xanatos was in the area and had Peter and Beth arrested the previous night after a mysterious act of vandalism at his construction site. Determined to find out what Xanatos was up to, Goliath and Angela soared there and discovered the Coyote Carving in the ground. They were quickly ambushed by Coyote 4.0 who used his vertigo beam to knock them out. Xanatos appeared, in armor, and bolted the two gargoyles to the ground with his Staple Gun. Xanatos admired the young female, telling Goliath she was quite lovely and that he must be very proud. Goliath asked Xanatos to release Angela as she had done nothing to him. Xanatos held no grudge towards either of them, but in order to nab his true quarry, his death trap needed to be real and he needed to be prepared to follow through. The Mazas and Bronx arrived and in the chaos, freed the two gargoyles, Angela rising up and confronting Xanatos directly, reminding him that she was "the lovely one". After Coyote gave chase to a mysterious stranger, the gargoyles and Mazas evacuated where Beth theorized that the stranger was Coyote the Trickster. After Coyote 4.0 successfully abducted the trickster, they all attacked the construction site where Angela engaged Xanatos in battle. But a masked Kachina Dancer appeared to sow confusion and turn the tide, allowing the Trickster to trick the robot into destroying itself. Xanatos arose from the debris to the sight of Angela and the others growling in his face before he flew away. The masked Kachina Dancer revealed himself to be Peter Maza. Goliath, Angela, and Bronx slept through the day at the site of Carlos Maza's headstone as Peter made peace with his father's memory. ("Cloud Fathers")

The Skiff next arrived within a giant cauldron, after Goliath removed it from the boiling water, Elisa opened the doors of the building to discover a frigid landscape. So frigid that even the gargoyles donned furs for warmth. After being discovered by the locals, they all fled to escape the archers and arrived at a cave to take shelter for warmth. Goliath came upon a hulking figure covered in furs, who turned out to be Coldstone. Goliath then guessed that Avalon had sent them to Tibet to bring Coldstone home, and introduced him to his rookery daughter, Angela. When Angela mentioned Avalon and the other rookery children, and excitedly pointed out that Gabriel must be Coldstone's biological son, Coldstone refused to go there out of dread over what "Iago" might do. Coldstone then put on an act, pretending to be the "Evil One" in control and knocked the travelers out. Angela and her companions later awoke back on the Skiff in Shambahla.  +
Upon returning to Avalon once more, they were all beginning to grow frustrated with the length of their quest, Angela frustratedly saying she was beginning to think that Manhattan was a myth. They decided to take a breather and spend some time with the Avalon Clan when ominous storm clouds gathered, a dais arose from the soil beneath them and lightning struck with two mysterious, regal figures appearing along with the Weird Sisters. The regal man demanded they leave within the hour, but Princess Katharine pleaded that they had no where else to go. The Guardian and the clan lashed out in defense but Goliath calmed them all done and asked the strangers who they were. Lord Oberon introduced himself as the ruler of Avalon and the woman as Titania, and nearly killed all of the mortals until Titania offered to remarry Oberon if he hunted the mortals fairly with reduced power. Oberon agreed to the bargain and Titania selected Goliath, Angela, and Gabriel to match Oberon before reducing her lord's powers to that of a Child's. Given a head start, Angela and her companions dug a hole to at least test Oberon's powers. While Oberon fell into the trap, he quickly flew out of it and attacked the gargoyles with the forest itself. They took to the air and he gave pursuit, herding them towards the volcano where he intended to destroy them with a gigantic pair of magma hands. Goliath led the two younger gargoyles through this and told the younger gargoyles to go on ahead, but Angela reminded her father that it was their way to stand or fall together. Oberon transformed his body to diamond and quickly dispatched them, returning to his palace with them in tow. But the Guardian, Elisa, Katharine, and the clan had prepared an Iron Bell and subdued Oberon before agreeing to spare his life. Goliath helped the fallen lord to his feet and Oberon agreed to give them all asylum in his land, and impressed by them all, he invited them to stay with his blessings and told Goliath that he and his clan would be immune to his arts as the Honor Guard of Avalon. Titania assured Goliath that they could trust his word - while Angela and the Guardian engaged Oberon in a civil and friendly conversation. Angela soon returned to the Skiff with her companions to continue their quest as Oberon himself called the Gathering. ("Ill Met By Moonlight")

Back onboard the Skiff once more, Goliath's weariness with the quest began to get the better of him. He missed the Trio. He missed Hudson. He missed the spires of Manhattan and would give much to see them all again. Upon saying these words, he was struck by a bolt of lightning, passed out, and fell off the skiff. Angela helped bring him back onboard. Goliath woke up, insisting that they had found Manhattan but it was wrong. Fearful that Puck may try his deception again, he chanted the Gate's incantation and threw it into a time warp, hoping that with no mind to direct it, it would be forever lost and beyond the reach of all who desired it. Goliath was now more determined than ever to get back to Manhattan and to make sure that his nightmare did not come true. ("Future Tense")

After six months had passed, Angela finally arrived in Manhattan. They quickly returned to the Clock Tower where Goliath, Elisa, and Bronx reunited with the rest of the Manhattan Clan. Goliath then introduced Hudson and the Trio to Angela - the four of them delighted to meet her as Hudson greeted Angela with a hug. Goliath then announced that it wasn't just the clan's eggs on Avalon that they met, but gargoyles in Japan, Guatemala, and London; news that gave Hudson hope to know for sure that they weren't the last gargoyles. Broadway introduced himself, Lexington, and Brooklyn to Angela and gifted her with a (mostly eaten) box of chocolates. Angela graciously accepted the gift, happy to finally be there. After Goliath left to drop Elisa off at her apartment, Angela spent some time telling the trio and Hudson about Gabriel and the Avalon Clan.

Goliath returned and Anastasia Renard appeared inside the Clock Tower before revealing herself to be Queen Titania. The queen of Avalon filled them in on the heritage of the newborn Alexander Fox Xanatos, that the child belonged on Avalon, and asked for Goliath's help to protect Fox and Alexander during the imminent battle, but Goliath refused to comply as he believed that nothing should come between a parent and child, even if Xanatos was the parent. Titania reminded him of her previous help before warning Goliath not to interfere lest he be crushed by Oberon. Goliath finally realized that Avalon had not released them from the quest, but rather sent them to Manhattan because of the danger. Goliath took his clan and they glided towards the Eyrie Building and, on the way, Oberon had put the entire city to sleep (save for the gargoyles who had recently been appointed his Honor Guard). When Brooklyn asked why they were risking their lives to help Xanatos, Goliath admitted that he knew the pain of being separated from his child and he would not wish it on his worst enemy. Hudson told Angela that she had quite the influence on Goliath, and she admitted he had a mutual influence on her. They soon reached the Eyrie Building and the sight of a skyscraper-sized Oberon. Goliath attempted to talk Oberon into abandoning his mission to abduct Alexander, but Oberon fought back against the gargoyles and Xanatos's iron defenses. While Oberon kept to his decree not to use his magical arts directly against Goliath and his clan, he battled through other means. Angela led Brooklyn and Broadway against Oberon, with iron weapons but Oberon picked them off one-by-one. Soon all lay defeated. Angela came to with the rest of the clan to news that their work was done as Goliath proudly greeted his clan as they prepared to depart the castle before they were stopped by Xanatos who had come to express his gratitude and promised to pay the debt he now felt he owed to them. Goliath was initially skeptical, but he now knew of the transforming power of a child's love, and decided that the future was not written yet and would give Xanatos the benefit of the doubt. The clan returned to the Clock Tower and Goliath returned to his mission: to protect Manhattan and all within it, human and gargoyle alike... and Angela was more than ready to settle into her new home. Broadway also called her "Angie" for the first time. ("The Gathering" Part One, "The Gathering" Part Two)

Mere days after her arrival in Manhattan, a series of high technology thefts began and the clan began to stake out research facilities. Their efforts yielded results at the Goldencup Bakery Building when Demona broke in and stole an exo-frame and several crates full of weapons. Goliath and Brooklyn engaged her in an aerial battle and Angela attempted to stop the conflict. Demona's interest in Angela disturbed Goliath and he destroyed her exo-frame, the ensuing explosion knocking the immortal gargoyle out. The three of them debated what to do with Demona, they couldn't release her, during the day Demona was human so they couldn't safely guard her. But Brooklyn suggested locking Demona up in the Labyrinth - Talon agreed to this, and they made a deal to take turns guarding the prisoners day and night. Angela volunteered to take the first watch, which Goliath attempted to talk her out of until Hudson intervened trusting Angela, encouraging Goliath to trust her in turn, and warning Angela that Demona was capable of anything. Some time later, Demona awoke and spotted Angela, enraged she attacked the bars and demanded to know who the young female was. Angela just came out and introduced herself as Demona's daughter, but this enraged Demona even further - she had no daughter. Angela then proceeded to tell Demona everything, that the clan's eggs had survived and that she and Goliath were her biological parents. When Demona softened, Angela eagerly began sharing even more information about Avalon and about Princess Katharine. But hearing the princess's name enraged Demona once more, accusing the humans of stealing their children. But Angela tried to convince Demona that the princess saved the eggs and that she was part of her clan - as was Demona. But Demona gave Angela some advice of her own, that humans had no place in any gargoyle clan and that if Angela was truly her daughter, they must always be there for one another. Their moment was interrupted by an obnoxious comment from Fang in the neighboring cell. ("The Reckoning")

As the summer passed, the Trio were all delighted to be sharing their patrols with Angela, and began eagerly – too eagerly, in fact – courting her. Although Broadway had already figured out that Angela hated the nickname "Angie", Brooklyn and Lexington had not and kept on addressing her and referring to her by that nickname; Angela, however, did not yet have the heart to tell them that she disliked it. While out on patrol, each of the Trio was bragging about their accomplishments fighting crime while protecting the city, each trying to one up each other; with Broadway bragging about putting Tony Dracon behind bars. Angela assured them they were all impressive before spotting a familiar Cyberbiotics' hovercraft and pursuing it to the Dracon Chop Shop, which was surrounded by the NYPD. The hovercraft flew off and a getaway car drove away from the scene. Brooklyn ordered that they all split up to pursue both vehicles and ordered Angela to be at his side - hoping for some time alone with her. Broadway and Lexington saw through this (as did Angela) and accompanied them, pointing out that Brooklyn was abusing his power as second-in-command. The Trio started fighting each other and collided with a brick wall, not hearing Angela's attempt to warn them. They arrived back at the Clock Tower to find that Goliath, Hudson, and Bronx had not returned while the Trio continued fighting with each other for Angela's affections as the sun rose. That night, a gangster named Salli entered the Clock Tower before removing her wig and revealing that she was Elisa, undercover, sent to infiltrate Tomas Brod's operations and the turf war he had started with the Dracon Family. The Trio all too eagerly agreed to help Elisa out, obnoxiously trying to appeal to Angela. Out of their earshot, Angela expressed her concerns about their behavior to Elisa; and she told them that they had not been around a female gargoyle for a thousand years and advised her to let them know how she expected to be treated. Brooklyn ordered Lexington and Broadway to stay at the Clock Tower to wait for Goliath while he and Angela followed Elisa; again, everyone saw through Brooklyn and the other two members of the Trio refused the order. Angela reminded them that Elisa was counting on them and asked them to stop fighting - only for them all to deny that they were even fighting at all. They followed Brod and his gang as they attacked a train belonging to Dracon, which was an ambush. While the gargoyles dispatched members of the Dracon gang, Brooklyn bragged about his fighting skills - which encouraged Lexington to attack the hovercraft. Angela went after him and both of them were shot out of the sky, falling to the train tracks below where they were nearly killed by an oncoming train before being rescued. This incident resulted in yet another fight and their obnoxious immaturity reached critical mass as each of them claimed her - no longer able to take this, Angela yelled at them to stop and told them they were all behaving like hatchlings before reminding them that "the winner" does not get to keep her before she took off after Elisa. Coming to their senses, the trio realized Elisa needed their help and took off after "Angie" ... who finally let them know she despised the name - at high volume. They followed the hovercraft to Rikers Island where Lexington and Angela destroyed it. They then entered the prison and took out Dracon, along with Brod and his gang, saving Elisa's life so that she could arrest the criminals. They returned to the Clock Tower where they each apologized to Angela for how they had been behaving and promised to back off. Angela asked them to just slow down, she liked all three of them. Then she reminded them that she had fifteen rookery sisters on Avalon. ("Turf")

As the months passed, Angela would regularly take her shift guarding Demona and Fang - and she and Demona continued to converse. Despite how much Demona told her, Angela still didn't understand how she could have done so many terrible things. But Demona told Angela not to judge her as the younger female had been hiding on a magical island while she had been out in the real world. Claw soon arrived to relieve Angela, and the gargoyle elected to sleep there that day, in front of Demona's cell. Despite herself, Demona had found herself growing truly fond of her. As autumn rolled in, Goliath arrived at the Clock Tower to gather Hudson, Angela, and the Trio after Thailog had broken Demona and Fang out of their confinement. They regrouped with Talon at Coney Island where they all split up - Goliath ordering Angela to be at his side. Both father and daughter made their way to the dungeon of the funhouse where Demona and Thailog got the drop on them before revealing the new clones they created which had already captured Talon and the rest of the Manhattan Clan. Now restrained and chained to the walls, Demona gloated her victory over Goliath, formally introducing them to the clones as her new clan. Goliath was disgusted at just how low Demona had sunk. But when Thailog decided to execute the Manhattan Clan one-by-one, starting with Angela, Demona intervened for Angela's life. Thailog chose that moment to remind Demona that she had known Angela was her daughter since before they staged her capture and she had still been unable to turn her. Angela was shocked by this revelation, but Demona pleaded that she needed to make Angela understand. But as far as Angela was understood, she understood perfectly. The last several months of talking and getting to know one another were all a charade to turn her against her father, and to trap and destroy her clan. She echoed Hudson's words that Demona was capable of anything before coldly telling her biological mother that she hated her. Thailog told Demona this was proof that she was better off without the younger female, but despite this Demona still couldn't bring herself to allow Thailog to kill the girl. Thailog cast off his alliance with Demona, revealing one more clone: Delilah. In her fury, Demona released the Manhattan Clan from their bonds and went after Thailog personally - yelling at Goliath to "save their daughter". Angela confronted Delilah and defeated her, dragging her out of the funhouse in chains. After asking about Demona's whereabouts, Lexington pointed at her and Thailog battling atop a rollercoaster that had turned into a blazing inferno. The burning coaster collapsed seemingly taking Demona and Thailog with it. Heartbroken over her final words to her biological mother, Angela asked Goliath if she was truly gone. Goliath was unsure, but optimistically believed that Demona's love for Angela might have been a new beginning. ("The Reckoning")

While attempting to enjoy a quiet night at the Clock Tower watching TV, "Goliath" and "Hudson" returned, bringing Coldstone with them. Brooklyn, angrily reminded them of "Iago's" soul within, but "Goliath" confidently told them that he planned to neutralize that soul by emptying Coldstone of all his personalities and without a grip on the Earth plain, "Iago" would evaporate and that the other two souls would temporarily be transferred into two of them and asked for volunteers. Angela was the first to volunteer, followed by Broadway, and then Brooklyn who backed off when he realized they don't need three. "Goliath" proceeded to cast the spell, claiming it was a little trick he learned on Avalon. With that, Broadway's body was possessed by "Othello" and Angela's by "Desdemona", and the two mates embraced as flesh and blood bodies for the first time in over a thousand years. "Goliath" and "Hudson" soon left to get some air, but unknown to any of the gargoyles, they were actually Puck and Alexander Xanatos. Equally unknown to them, Brooklyn had been possessed as well - by "Iago". "Brooklyn" encouraged "Angela" and "Broadway" to stretch their wings, the soul of "Desdemona" was ecstatic to experience real physical sensation again through Angela's body. All the while "Iago" was encouraging them to keep these flesh and blood bodies rather than be returned to Coldstone. When they returned to the Clock Tower and found that Lexington had been jumped by Coldstone (who assumed "Iago" was controlling the Coldstone shell), "Brooklyn" saw an opportunity to destroy Coldstone's body leaving them forever trapped in their current bodies - "Broadway" was only too eager to do so, but "Angela" wasn't. They arrived at the Eyrie Building and entered its atrium where they battled with Coldstone, who had captured the real Goliath and Hudson. With "Broadway" and "Angela" knocked out, "Brooklyn" arrived to take "Angela" away - encouraging Coldstone to kill all of the other gargoyles, and revealing that he was, in actuality, the soul of "Iago" who had always desired "Desdemona". But they were soon confronted by the new robots built by Xanatos, Coldsteel and Coldfire. When "Iago" came to resent Brooklyn's body, wishing he could trade it for Coldsteel, Coldstone encouraged Lexington to cast the same spell that "Goliath" had cast earlier - transferring "Iago" into Coldsteel - who then retreated. When Brooklyn revealed that he was aware of every thing that "Iago" had made him do, "Othello" and "Desdemona" realized the same must be true of Broadway and Angela - they knew they had to leave these bodies to their owners. Puck emerged from Coldstone's shell, revealing he had been behind the subterfuge because he needed all involved to volunteer for what he needed them to do. "Lexington" then cast the spell again, transferring "Othello" and "Desdemona" into Coldstone and Coldfire - when the two robots thanked Broadway and Angela, the two younger gargoyles could only awkwardly say it was their pleasure. Puck then revealed that Alexander had been possessing Lexington before Goliath bade them all to return to the Clock Tower. But throughout this, Broadway and Angela's future relationship was nudged closer to fruition. ("Possession")

Life proceeded for Angela and the rest of the Manhattan Clan as things fell into a routine. Elisa went undercover to capture three thugs that had been robbing subway passengers and Goliath, Angela, and the Trio arrived to help capture them. During the battle, Brooklyn's shoulder was grazed by a bullet and she stopped to tend his wound. The gargoyles returned to the Clock Tower basking at how well things were going, like a well-oiled machine, they celebrated what Angela called their good life just before the sun rose. That night, Elisa approached them to tell them about the excitement she and her new partner experienced that day. Elisa talked up Jason Conover and Goliath quickly picked up on Elisa's attraction for the human being deeper than just being impressed with his skills. Elisa changed the subject to the attempted theft of Xanatos's D/I-7. The clan agreed to help Elisa keep an eye on the warehouses considering her fear that whoever was behind the robberies would make another attempt. The clan split up to keep an eye on both locations while Elisa went home to get some sleep. Goliath, Angela, and Hudson took watch on the roof of Xanatos's East River Warehouse when a massive airship appeared and three masked humans, calling themselves the Hunters emerged, and it soon became clear that they weren't thieves - they were there to kill the gargoyles. With their advanced weapons they were able to hold Goliath and Hudson at bay and - focusing their hatred on Angela, whom they referred to as "the demon". During the fight, Angela was grievously wounded and fell from the rooftop crashing onto the roof of a car below. Goliath and Hudson took Angela and fled back to the Clock Tower. Once back home, the rest of the clan were fearful for Angela's life. Her wounds were great and dawn was hours away. With a cold fury Goliath vowed to hunt down these masked Hunters and kill them. ("Hunter's Moon" Part One)

As dawn approached, Goliath held his daughter trying to keep her awake and fighting her pain until dawn, but Angela stopped breathing and was at death's door. Elisa arrived and rushed to Angela's side, performing CPR and saving the young female's life. Goliath was grateful and reported to Elisa that they were attacked at the warehouse by three masked humans; Brooklyn then added that Demona had also hit the place on the westside. As the sun rose, Goliath vowed that the Hunters would soon become his prey. That night, they all awakened and Angela was tired but healed. This did nothing to alleviate Goliath's anger, vowing that the Hunters would suffer, which Angela seemed eager to join him in much to Broadway's concern. The clan split up to search for the Hunters with Goliath ordering them to not engage them, but to report back instead. Angela left the Clock Tower to search for them paired up with Broadway. They returned to the Clock Tower having had no luck finding the Hunters, neither did Hudson and Bronx. But Goliath returned with a very concerned Lexington and Broadway reporting that he had dealt the Hunters a major blow, as he assured Angela that he had made two of the Hunters pay for what they had done to her, but Lex found a tracking device planted on Goliath's back and they took cover as the Hunters fired two missiles into the Clock Tower - leveling it. The gargoyles emerged from the broom closet beneath the Clock Tower to the sight of their devastated home. Goliath vowed further vengeance on the Hunters as they retreated to the one place they had to go - Elisa's apartment. But the Hunters recorded their escape and Jon Canmore in his guise as a reporter for WVRN revealed the footage and the existence of the gargoyles to the world and now the entire city was hunting them. That night, Elisa and the rest of the clan tried to convince Goliath to let the law deal with the Hunters, but Goliath demanded justice - Elisa told him that what he was after was vengeance. Even Angela's own desire for vengeance had subsided in the face of what this feud had already cost them. But Goliath wouldn't hear of it, he had Lexington use the Hunter's tracer to find them and ordered the clan to stay behind - and they complied, except for Broadway who took Elisa and followed them. From back at Elisa's apartment, they overheard the sounds of the battle with the Hunters at a New York Dam and were all devastated when Elisa was seemingly killed in the crossfire. Angela was still a weeping mess when Goliath and Broadway returned - but Goliath vowed that night would be the last the Hunters would ever see and Elisa's death would be avenged.

That night, they followed the tracer's signal once more, despite being hunted by the entire city. They soon found the Hunters' Airship where it had crashed itself into Saint Damien's Cathedral. The gargoyles entered and engaged the remaining two Hunters, now wearing exo-armor. When the female Hunter, Robyn Canmore, called Angela "demon spawn!", Angela reminded the Hunter that they weren't demons or monsters, they were gargoyles - and they intended to teach the Hunters to respect the name. Angela eagerly took on both Hunters, at one point knocking Robyn to the ground by swinging a gigantic column at her. So consumed by vengeance, they didn't notice that Demona was present in the cathedral or that the cathedral was now surrounded by the police and growing crowds of people. The battle stopped when a still alive Elisa arrived with Jason Canmore. Goliath ran to her asking how she was still alive, and she told him that Jason saved her life. Jon rushed to his brother's side, determined to destroy the gargoyles. But Jason told his siblings to give up the hunt, that they were all victims of his own stubbornness but he had come to his senses - the Manhattan Clan were not their enemies. But Jon quickly panicked and remembered Demona's scheme. Brooklyn, who had spotted and followed Demona, screamed in anguish as she shot him. Fearing an attack, Jon fired on Goliath but Jason dove in front of it taking the blast. Elisa and Robyn Canmore rushed to Jason's side to aid him and Elisa told Goliath to stop Demona. As the gargoyles went to do just that, Jon blamed them for Jason's injury and fled vowing vengeance. Angela and her clan entered the chamber where Demona stood before an altar, spotting the injured second who revealed that Demona had already cast a spell and Demona basked in triumph, revealing that once she shattered the vial in her hands all of humanity would be destroyed and the power of the Praying Gargoyle would protect their kind. Goliath then leaped into the air, and Demona ducked fearing Goliath was lunging for her. But he grabbed the statuette and crushed it between his hands. With the Praying Gargoyle destroyed, Goliath dared Demona to spread her evil so that they could all die together; Angela made her way to her father's side, practically joining Goliath in daring Demona to do it. Demona screamed in rage and tossed the vial into the air to cover her escape. Goliath dove and caught it before it shattered on the floor releasing her plague. He took off in pursuit of Demona but she managed to escape over the city. As the NYPD spotted Demona making her getaway, Matt Bluestone reluctantly ordered the helicopters to go in for the rest of them. The gargoyles were now surrounded on all sides, but a second helicopter descended revealing Xanatos who offered them a ride. Seeing no other choice, Goliath ordered his clan to board the helicopter and Xanatos flew them back to the Eyrie Building.

Xanatos reinstated the gargoyles in their ancestral home to thank Goliath for saving the world and his son. He explained as such to Elisa when she arrived promising no catches, tricks, or strings, and an end to the feud (though in reality, Xanatos got what he wanted since the beginning - the gargoyles protecting his castle, he just now realized he needed to make concessions to them as well). As Angela prepared to take her own place on the tower, she mused that she had just gotten used to the Clock Tower. But Broadway assured Angela that she'd love living in the castle, promising her that it had a great kitchen - and an even better library. ("Hunter's Moon" Part Three)

With their secret out in the open, the gargoyles hid up in the castle away from the dangers posed by the humans'. Goliath had ventured out to go see Elisa while Broadway and Angela made use of that "even better library". Angela had begun tutoring Broadway in his reading lessons, and while reading a passage out of Romeo and Juliet, Broadway found himself unable to concentrate due to Goliath having gone missing. Angela insisted that Goliath wasn't missing, he just hadn't come home yet - but it was clear to him that she was trying to cover up the anxieties she was feeling and she soon opened up about her inability to understand why the city hated them. Having been raised by humans, she believed there should be no reason why they couldn't live in harmony. Broadway opened up about his belief that some day they would all live together in harmony, this wasn't just a belief, but something he knew. And, in that moment, having truly found each other - being able to truly relate to her on a personal and emotional level, not simply for being "an available female gargoyle", Broadway and Angela shared their first kiss. Unknown to them, they were spotted by Brooklyn who, in his disappointment walked way muttering under his breath "parting is such sweet sorrow." ("The Journey")

Angela awoke on Halloween confused by the Lexington and Broadway's enthusiasm for the holiday. Fox presented the clan with the Halloween costumes they had previously requested as she assured the gargoyles that they were safe. But Angela wondered why they were safe and why strangers were being allowed into their home for Xanatos's Halloween Masque when the city was up in arms against them; and Broadway assured her that the humans would assume the gargoyles were also humans in costumes, but Angela was unsure if that was a good thing, either. Angela donned her costume, dressing up as Dorothy Gale from The Wizard of Oz and Broadway joined her as the Cowardly Lion. At the masque, they mingled with Margot Yale who admired their "costumes" as "cliches with a fresh twist". Angela was dismayed when Elisa showed up at the masque with her co-worker, Morgan Morgan, as her date and pulled Elisa aside for "girl talk" to voice her displeasure with Elisa for this; nor was she happy when Goliath showed up with Delilah on his arm. When Brooklyn neglected to don his costume, depressed about Angela's new relationship with Broadway and missing out on asking Delilah out, Angela kindly convinced him to go get his costume on which he proceeded to do (hoping to impress her). When Goliath and Elisa both briefly left the party, only for Elisa to return on her own and speak with Morgan further, Angela voiced her concern about her father and took Broadway and Angela up to the castle to find him. She was shocked and enraged to find Goliath down, having been stabbed in the stomach by a returned Thailog and surrounded by the clones and attacked Thailog, only for the clone to slash her across the arm with a short sword. The battle commenced, Angela taking on Hollywood until Delilah arrived to end the fight. Angela urged Delilah not to listen to Thailog, only for Delilah to be angry at Angela's presumption to give her an order. While Delilah and the clones (save for Brentwood) chose not to rejoin Thailog and returned to the Labyrinth once more; Angela was present, holding hands with Broadway as Goliath and Elisa openly declared their love for each other. The following evening, during a light snowfall, Angela and the Trio celebrated Goliath's healing, Maggie's safety, the clones choosing good over evil, and their freedom atop the Empire State Building. Broadway agreed, feeling there was no need to hide in the castle as long as their enemies might just attack them there. However Brooklyn wouldn't celebrate with Thailog still at large. The next night, Macbeth greeted them as they awoke and requested their help to protect the Stone of Destiny while it was being transported from Westminster Abbey back to Scotland. Goliath, who was still healing, couldn't take part in the trip but agreed to send Brooklyn, Lexington, Broadway, and Angela in his stead. While Broadway and Angela were excited to be going to Scotland, Brooklyn wanted distance from the new couple... suggesting to Goliath that while he was healing, it might be the wrong time to send him overseas. Goliath understood Brooklyn's feelings and agreed. However, Broadway and Angela (meaning well but oblivious to Brooklyn's feelings) volunteered to stay behind as well to help Brooklyn while Hudson was sent with Lexington instead. Much to Brooklyn's chagrin.  ("Reunion", "The Rock")

Angela's adventures began when the Archmage attacked Avalon in 1995. When Goliath, Elisa, and Bronx came to Avalon to help defend it from the evil sorcerer, she befriended them, and fought valiantly alongside Goliath in the battles that followed. Curious about the outside world, she afterwards accompanied Goliath, Elisa, and Bronx when they left Avalon. ("Avalon" Part Two, "Avalon" Part Three)

Two months passed and, outside of Goliath, Brooklyn had no company besides Broadway and Angela. One evening, when he went out for a glide to get some time away from the happy couple, he came to a landing on the Flatiron Building only for Angela and Broadway to arrive to keep him company. They both acknowledged how dull things had been with Hudson and Lexington away, wishing they'd come home. Brooklyn, bitterly, had other wishes. Suddenly, an all too familiar flame appeared, and the Phoenix Gate appeared, crashing onto the rooftop before them. Angela immediately wanted to alert Goliath as to its arrival, believing it had been released into the timestream as it was too dangerous. But not wanting to leave it for just anyone to pick up, Brooklyn reached for it as it began to melt the moment he touched it. As it dissolved, the mighty phoenix exploded from what had once been the Gate and seemingly recognizing Brooklyn, swallowed him before disappearing into the timestream. Angela and Broadway tried to rescue him, but it was too late. Brooklyn was lost - maybe forever. However, forty seconds later, Brooklyn had returned after forty years of time dancing and bringing with him his mate, Katana; their son, Nashville; their beast, Fu-Dog; and the egg that Brooklyn called Egwardo. They returned to the castle as Hudson and Lexington had returned with Coldstone and Coldfire and introduced them all to Goliath. The clan was ecstatic to double in size, and Angela was happy to see her first gargoyle egg. Elisa soon arrived and, after meeting the expanded Manhattan Clan, told them that Jackal busted Hyena and Wolf out of prison and they were currently rampaging through Times Square. Angela and the rest of the Manhattan Clan glided to deal with them, hopeful for what the future held. ("The Gate", "Phoenix")

In the course of the Avalon World Tour, Angela learned her true parentage. When she was captured by Sevarius at Loch Ness, he discovered that Goliath was her biological father, and informed her of it. Angela was astounded, but accepted it at once, and began looking up to Goliath as her father. ("Monsters") Goliath was concerned by her desire for a father/daughter relationship. Gargoyle custom dictates that the parents of a generation of gargoyles raise their children communally. Goliath feared that accepting Angela as his daughter would mean he was showing her undue favor. He initially refused to recognize her as his daughter at first, despite her pleas. But a conversation with Diane Maza during their visit to Nigeria help Goliath to see that Angela did deserve a special relationship with him, as he was the only gargoyle parent she currently knew and she was the only one of his children currently with him. By May of 1997, though their secret was out and the clan had doubled in size, they had achieved a new status quo. Helping Elisa by patrolling the city and capturing criminals ranging from petty thieves to the ongoing gang war between the Dracon Family and Tomas Brod (with the other syndicates seeing weakness and making grabs themselves - all of this being engineered and manipulated by an, as of yet, unknown party). Angela's relationship with Broadway had continued to grow and deepen as did the sisterly relationship she had developed with Elisa - fully supportive and embracing the relationship that had developed between Elisa and Goliath. She also continued to take an interested in Egwardo and when Maggie the Cat was due to give birth to Elisa's new nephew, Angela was eager to attend and welcome that new life into the world. When they arrived, they found all the humans and mutates unconscious and the clones confused. When Elisa came to, she explained that they were gassed and knocked out - without ever seeing their attackers. Maggie and the midwife, Mary, had both been taken. They compared notes and determined the culprit must be Xanatos and, with Talon and Dr. Sato in tow, returned to the castle and violently confronted the billionaire, Angela quite angrily as she believed he was guilty of the kidnapping. Xanatos denied his involvement and Broadway believed him and when they put their heads together, Broadway figured out that the culprits had to be Sevarius and Thailog. Gliding towards Thailog's headquarters, they broke in and engaged Thailog and Brentwood in battle, and Angela was horrified when Thailog severed Coldfire's arm. When Goliath restrained his clone, Angela quickly moved to strip him of his bladed gauntlets. Upon the birth of Maggie's son, the child did not appear to be a mutate at all much to Sevarius and Thailog's disappointment. No longer motivated to keep fighting, Thailog invited them all to leave and they returned to the Labyrinth to celebrate the birth of the new child now named Michael Peter Maza. As they happily witnessed the miracle of life, Broadway and Angela began thinking about future rookeries for the Manhattan Clan. ("A Little Crazy", "Idyll or Nightmare", "Miracle Child")

Angela also displayed her quick-wittedness during the World Tour many times, coming to the aid of her companions on the quest. It was she who discovered that Raven's "totem beast gargoyles" were illusions, who supplied the key to Anansi's defeat by realizing that the great spider was too bulky to battle the gargoyles on the ground, and who brought Goliath to his senses when he had become temporarily corrupted by the Eye of Odin. Sadly, the Trio had began drifting apart for a while before all of this, and as Goliath had hoped to speak with them about it, Brooklyn had to conduct a history lesson for Gnash with Katana while Angela called Broadway over to meet with Coldfire to ask her to perform their Commitment Ceremony as both of them felt ready to take this next step in their lives. When Coldfire asked if they had picked their seconds for the ceremony, Angela immediately responded with Elisa's name before suggesting Katana if she was willing. Broadway guessed that Lexington might do it, but he wasn't too sure about Brooklyn. The discussions were interrupted by Hudson returning to the castle to alert them that Goliath had been captured by the Gargoyle Taskforce. The following night, Brooklyn ordered a rescue due to his one rule: "No gargoyle left behind. Period". Angela agreed with the sentiment but, along with the rest of the clan, was confused when Brooklyn returned with Coldstone and Coldfire to report that Goliath refused to leave and Elisa informed them of Goliath's pending court case. Angela was present and concerned as the Trio's relationship continued to deteriorate when Broadway and Lexington defied his orders to remain in the castle to save the life of gangster, [Izaak Slaughter]] from an assassination attempt by Dino Dracon. Angela finally joined the Manhattan Clan upon the end of the Avalon World Tour. The trio were all delighted to see her, and began eagerly - too eagerly, in fact - courting her. ("The Gathering" Part One) Angela finally persuaded them to slow down after their aggressive wooing got out of hand during the turf war between Tony Dracon and Tomas Brod. ("Turf") Eventually (with some assistance, perhaps, from the souls of Othello and Desdemona) she chose Broadway as her mate, ("Possession")

She joined the rest of the clan to watch Goliath's Hearing as it was televised and, as with the rest of them, was concerned about Goliath's fate - knowing that it and the future of all gargoyles hung in the balance. She was also the first to notice that Coldstone did not join them for the second night of the hearing, as Coldfire explained that the first broadcast rendered him far too angry. Like the rest of the clan, she was amazed when Elisa publicly revealed the full extent of her relationship with Goliath when called to the stand and, along with the rest of the city and maybe even the world, watched with bated breath as Judge Roebling gave his ruling that gargoyles were legally sentient and qualified for the same rights as any human. She celebrated the ruling, happy that Goliath had been right about the humans (although, what none of them knew was that Roebling's ruling had been partially influenced by a bribe from David Xanatos). Angela also re-encountered her mother when Demona was temporarily captured and imprisoned in the Labyrinth, and tried to understand her better. After Goliath returned home from the hearing, and returned from visiting Halcyon Renard one last time at his death bed, along with the Trio and Gnash returning (having all reconnected after saving the lives of Rosaria Sanchez and Peter Choy, who had been abducted by Dino Dracon), they continued to celebrate their good fortune as the sun rose. The following evening, Brooklyn and Katana approached Angela, Broadway, and Lexington to invite them to be rookery parents for Egwardo, which they all agreed to. In turn, Angela formally invited Katana and Elisa to be her seconds at her upcoming Commitment Ceremony to Broadway, which both agreed to. The celebrating was cut short when Antoinette Dracon arrived to tip them off about five bombs placed by her uncle, Dino Dracon, at five police precincts designed to bring the police down on Dino's rivals. Angela participated in finding one of the bombs and making sure it detonated over the river. Following this, the clan's standing in the city continued to improve as Goliath accepted an offer to formally join the Gargoyle Taskforce. However, unknown to Angela, she had been a pawn in another one of her biological mother's schemes, Demona (who had been manipulating the recent gang wars) ascended to leadership of the Six Families. Over the next several months, Angela continued to plan her and Broadway's Commitment Ceremony. As they went through a guest list, which began to grow with the names of Matt Bluestone, Peter, Diane, and Beth Maza and then, by extension, the entire Labyrinth Clan; Angela also hoped for all of her brothers and sisters on Avalon to attend, along with Princess Katharine and the Guardian. Coldfire sensed that Angela was troubled and it wasn't due to the logistics of bringing the entire Avalon Clan over. Angela admitted that she was troubled by Demona, and wished for her to attend - much to Broadway's consternation. But Angela was still hopeful that it might at least initiate a reconciliation - she desperately wanted to believe that Demona was capable of change. That same night, Avalon brought Jade and Turquesa of the Mayan Clan to Manhattan and Angela was thrilled to meet them again again, quickly introducing her friends to the rest of the Manhattan Clan just before sunrise. After the sun set, Broadway brought out the Mayan Sun Amulet he had recovered back in 1996 and returned it to the two gargoyles as Angela told them that when Avalon brought them back, they recognized the talisman and held on to it - and Elisa recovered it from the wreckage of the Clock Tower. But the happy reconciliations were cut off as the castle was attacked by an armada of stolen Goldencup exo-frames. While the gargoyles assumed the attack was to steal the Mayan Sun Amulet, the drones were a distraction for Demona to invade the castle and confront Owen Burnett at gun point so she could steal Puck's Flute. Once the dust settled, Owen emerged and told Goliath of the theft, and when Turquesa mentioned spotting Demona in Argentina stealing the lancehead of Gungnir, Owen realized that Demona was after the Three New Keys to Power. Goliath vowed to prevent Demona from acquiring all three Keys otherwise humanity might be doomed. Angela was crestfallen at this turn of events, that Demona continued to be an enemy and knowing she'd have to confront her as the clan searched for Demona over the next several months. But that confrontation soon came when Demona emerged from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, bearing Odin's Shield and engaged in a violent battle with the clan, and while Demona apologized to Angela and acknowledged her disapproval, she claimed she was doing this out of love... as she rammed into her daughter with the shield, injuring her. Angela nursed her wound for the rest of the battle as Odin's shield was recovered by Goliath and Demona fled. Angela did find some respite that Halloween when she and the rest of the clan were guests of honor at the Halloween Street Fair in Greenwich Village (she was dressed as the Amazon queen, Antiope and Broadway was dressed as Charlemagne), despite an attack by the Quarrymen. When Thanksgiving fell, Goliath and Coldfire had kept up their hunt for Demona while the rest of the clan had grown complacent; Angela and Broadway taking to the kitchen to prepare the feast. When strange music was heard at the castle, Angela and Broadway abandoned the preparation of the meal to find that Demona had invaded the castle and enthralled Elisa, Xanatos, Fox, and Owen into puppets obeying her every command. Angela confronted her biological mother, demanding to know what she had done for Demona to retort that she had done nothing less than save the entire gargoyle species. With the humans enthralled to serve the commands of all gargoyles, there might not even be a need to destroy them - and Demona was presenting this as a compromise, which Angela and her clan completely rejected. Demona commanded Xanatos to cover her exit and he complied, summoning the Steel Clan robots and as Goliath was prepared to fight them off, Angela grabbed Xanatos by the collar and used Demona's enchantment to command him to dismiss the robots before they all pursued Demona to Airport.

Upon arriving, Demona commanded a horde of enthralled humans to attack the clan while Goliath moved ahead to confront her directly, but he was unable to overcome Demona's power and control over Jade, Turquesa, and Coldfire. Broadway gave Angela the opening she needed to fight her way to her biological parents and although Angela couldn't override Demona's command for Coldfire, Angela was able to "grant her permission" to be in no rush to obey them. Angela intervened in Goliath's battle with Demona to grab hold of Cleopatra's Necklace. Demona urged Angela not to interfere, but Angela promised she would stand against Demona as long as she walked the path of evil while swearing to still embrace her gladly should she seek a better course. As Goliath and Angela grappled with Demona for the Three Keys, Goliath caused her to briefly lose control of them when he reminded her of her complicity in the Wyvern Massacre that allowed Angela to strip Demona of Cleopatra's Necklace. With Demona defeated, the Three New Keys were destroyed and the humans released from Demona's geas. Demona escaped, and Angela returned to the castle. Although the Thanksgiving meal they were preparing was ruined, they acknowledged that they had other things to be thankful for - and other things to mourn. For this night, Demona dealt the Manhattan Clan a devastating blow when it was discovered that Coldstone betrayed the clan to Demona and was subsequently banished - and that Demona had earlier commanded Elisa to steal Egwardo from the rookery, and the clan's only egg was now in their greatest enemy's possession. Angela, thanks to her upbringing on the peaceful isle of Avalon, is the gentlest and most innocent member of the clan she remained somewhat naïve, in fact, long after coming to Manhattan. She views harmony between humans and gargoyles as natural, thanks to the aforesaid upbringing, and so cannot understand why the humans of New York fear and hate her clan so much (it is unclear if she is aware of how Katharine and the Magus treated gargoyles before the Wyvern massacre); it bewilders and grieves her. Demona is something of a concern for Angela. While well aware of her mother’s true nature, she also cannot help but make an attempt to reach out to Demona, precisely because of their family bonds. Despite her idyllic life on Avalon, Angela is not as naïve about the world as one might guess. She was the first to spot that Raven's Clan were in fact illusions created by the trickster. She was also pragmatic when, after Demona enchanted David Xanatos to sic the Steel Clan on the Manhattan Clan, Angela used Demona's enchantment to command Xanatos to call off them off, rather than waste time fighting the robots or worry about the moral implications of exploiting the spell. She was also the only one of the Manhattan Clan to take advantage of Demona's enchantment and use it to their advantage in the battle to defeat her.

Angela is a fierce and bold gargoyle warrior all the same, however, and can even display a fierce temper on occasion. She particularly showed it when the trio (or at least Lexington and Brooklyn) constantly called her "Angie" while courting her (she hates the nickname), and can hold her own well in a fight. (This initially seems hard to notice because of her sheltered upbringing on Avalon, but Angela has learned more about how to fight during the course of her adventures).

Angela is very attractive, tall and slender with long dark hair worn in a ponytail; she has inherited her father's lavender complexion, although her features are closer to Demona's. Angela in 1996

Angela is a female gargoyle and a member of the Manhattan Clan. Hatched and raised on Avalon, Angela took to the skiff and joined Goliath, Elisa Maza, and Bronx on the Avalon World Tour before taking her place among the Manhattan Clan. She is a idealist and an optimist who believes that there is no reason that humans and gargoyles cannot live together in harmony.

"Humans raised me. There's no reason we can't all live in harmony!" - Angela, ("The Journey")

History

Idyllic Life

A young Angela and Boudicca with Princess Katharine and Tom
The Guardian and Angela in 1195.

Angela, like the other Wyvern rookery eggs, was brought to Avalon by Princess Katharine, the Magus, and the Guardian while still in the shell, in 995. There she hatched in 1058 and was raised by the three humans alongside her many brothers and sisters. [1] All of "The Eggs", as their adoptive parents continued to call them, were raised to know of Goliath as an almost legendary heroic character. [2]. Throughout her youth, the Guardian would venture out from Avalon to see if the world had become safe enough for them to emerge and Angela - sometimes alone - would wait for his return on the beach. Later, Angela served as second-in-command of the Avalon Clan with her rookery brother Gabriel as the clan leader. It was a serene and peaceful life. ("Avalon" Part One, "Avalon" Part Two, "Avalon" Part Three", "Fallen From the Ranks...") [3]

Unprepared for Battle

Meeting Goliath.

("Avalon" Part Two)

Attempting to retrieve the Eye of Odin

Seeing the World

Batting the sea monster

A reunited family

("Golem")

Pondering all of the implications

Confronted by Una

Angela and Goliath aged by the powers of Anubis.

("The Hound of Ulster")

Father and daughter

Experiencing frigid temperatures for the first time.

("The New Olympians")

Battling Jackal

("Sentinel")

Yama is learning the hard way that Angela is no pushover.

("Bushido")

Her first confrontation with Xanatos

("Reunion")

Returning to their quest

Eager to finally see Manhattan

Quite an island, this Manhattan

Broadway meets Angela. As for the almost empty box of chocolates, give him a break; he didn't know she was coming!

Mutual influence

"Just remember, she may be your mother but she is capable of anything"

"STOP CALLING ME 'ANGIE'!!!!"

("Turf")

"I hate you."

A spark

Hunter's Moon

Greviously injured.

Her life saved.

("Hunter's Moon" Part Two)

"Look what this feud has cost us already!"

"Spread your evil if you dare"

Home at last?

Reverie

First kiss

The first curse word in all of Gargoyles canon, and look who it's coming from.

("Invitation Only", "Masque", "Bash")

"I'm singin' in the rain, just singin' in the rain... What a glorious feeling, I'm happy again..."

New Life, New Pursuits

Angela disarms Thailog.

("Tale Old as Time", "Render Unto Caesar", "Underwater", "Everywhere")

New rookery parents

("Your Witness", "New Rules")

Her seconds.

("Cold Comfort")

Family Time

("Questions", "Quo Vadis Cum Hoc?", "Acquisitions", "A Prize Beyond Compare...")

Angela did find some respite that Halloween when she and the rest of the clan were guests of honor at the Halloween Street Fair in Greenwich Village (she was dressed as the Amazon queen, Antiope and Broadway was dressed as Charlemagne), despite an attack by the Quarrymen. Angela and Broadway danced together, in public, for the first time. ("Trick-Or-Treat")

Demonstrating a fast understanding of Demona's enchantments

Demona commanded Xanatos to cover her exit and he complied, summoning the Steel Clan robots and as Goliath was prepared to fight them off, Angela grabbed Xanatos by the collar and used Demona's enchantment to command him to dismiss the robots before they all pursued Demona to LaGuardia Airport.

Confronting Demona

("Unequivocal Success", "Queen of All She Surveys")

Future

Broadway and Angela will ultimately produce three eggs that will hatch in 2018, 2038, and 2058. It is possible that Angela and Broadway will journey to Avalon in the future, at least for a visit. [4]

Characteristics

Angela, thanks to her upbringing on the peaceful isle of Avalon, is the gentlest and most innocent member of the clan – she remained somewhat naïve, in fact, long after coming to Manhattan. She is very trusting and kind, and a good judge of character.

Angela is very attractive, tall and slender with long dark hair worn in a ponytail; she has inherited her father's lavender complexion, although her features are closer to Demona's. When Angela left Avalon, she wore a one piece conservative outfit, but shortly after moving to the Eyrie Building, she changed her outfit to a sexier, collard two piece, one that was more reminiscent of Demona's typical style. This change on her part was made to express her growing up and pursuing her more adult relationship with Broadway. [5] Indeed, by early 1997, she and Broadway had already mated. [6]. She returned to her original style in early 1997. ("A Little Crazy")

Angela and Broadway are will eventually have three biological children: Artus, Gwenyvere, and Lancelot. [7] They will raise their biological offspring alongside their other rookery children in the traditional gargoyle way. [8] She also loves Goliath as her father very much, and loves and respects Elisa tremendously; she approves of Goliath and Elisa's relationship, although she sees Elisa as more like an older sister than like a mother or stepmother.

Demona is something of a concern for Angela. While well aware of her mother's true nature, she also cannot help but make an attempt to reach out to Demona, precisely because of their family bonds (having been raised by humans, Angela does see some importance in biological relationships between gargoyles, though she still supports the Gargoyle Way). She finds Demona's hatred of humanity and bitter quest for revenge distressing, as she does Demona's vendetta with Goliath. But she has the hope that Demona will someday be healed of her evil and rejoin the clan, although she has no illusions that Goliath and Demona will become mates again. However, like her mother, Angela is an iconoclast and left Avalon because she wanted more than normal clan life had to offer. [9]

Angela's name not only serves as a contrast to her mother's, but also as a sign of how Princess Katharine's own feelings towards gargoyles changed for the better after 994. She named most of the Avalon Clan after angels, in fact; not just Angela and Gabriel, but also giving some other gargoyles in the clan such names as Michael, Raphael, Azrael, and perhaps even Archangel. [10][11]

Angela probably does not know too much about the Gargoyle Way, but is learning more over time. She was raised with medieval Christian values, without necessarily being baptized a Christian. [12] The Magus taught her how to read. [13]

As of "Phoenix", Angela hasn't taken a life. [14]

Production Background

Voice Actor: Brigitte Bako

After the original main characters (Goliath, Elisa, Demona, Xanatos, Hudson, the Trio, and Bronx) were cast for the pilot, time restraints necessitated Greg Weisman and Jamie Thomason to simply cast future characters without auditions but, given the impact Angela's inclusion would have for the series, Bako read for the character and won the role. Keith David taught Bako how to growl. [15][16]

To further distinguish between the different personalities between Demona and Angela, Angela was designed with a double-tied ponytail, which was actually based off an early design for Demona. [17]
